At Gainsborough Parish C.E. Primary School, the teaching of geography runs through our curriculum, we believe this helps children to make sense of the World around them. Alongside this, discrete geography lessons are taught as we value the importance of teaching geographical skills too.
Our aim is to inspire each pupils curiosity about the world and its people, and we do this by providing a broad and relevant curriculum. Teachers ensure lessons are interesting and stimulating, using well planned visits, visitors or resources to support learning when necessary. Children get the opportunity to take part in educational visits to places such as Sherwood Forest, The Deep, The Idle Valley Nature Reserve and the Yorkshire Wildlife Park.
