  • Online Safety

At our school, keeping children safe online is a top priority. We recognise that technology is a key part of children’s learning and social lives, and we aim to equip pupils with the skills they need to use the internet safely, responsibly and respectfully.

Children are taught about online safety through our curriculum, assemblies and discussions, learning how to:

    • Keep personal information private
    • Recognise unsafe or worrying behaviour online
    • Treat others with kindness and respect
    • Know what to do and who to tell if something concerns them

We encourage parents and carers to support online safety at home by:

    • Talking regularly with their child about how they use the internet
    • Agreeing clear rules for screen time and usage
    • Using parental controls where appropriate
    • Reminding children to speak to a trusted adult if something doesn’t feel right

The following websites provide useful guidance, activities and advice for both parents and children:

What to Do if You Are Concerned

If your child is worried about something they have seen or experienced online, please:

    • Encourage them to talk to you or a trusted adult straight away
    • Contact the school so we can support you
