Phonics underpins all areas of learning, and being able to read and write unlocks a whole new world of imagination and potential for our children. Your children will bring home reading books every Friday, one will be a book linked their current phonics ability, and the other will be a reading for pleasure book, which the children can choose from the class reading area. Spending just a few minutes each evening sharing a book can instill a love of reading and help to develop your child's imagination and vocabulary. We will also be setting reading challenges on Oxford Owl every Friday from November. Oxford Owl is an online portal linked to Read, Write, Inc, and it can be accessed from a computer or a device such as a phone or tablet. Please follow the link below to access this fantastic website:
