Leave of absence in term time

At Parish, we believe that children make the most progress when they have excellent attendance and punctuality. Government legislation now states that parents may not request holidays in term time. Parents may still request a leave of absence however, schools are prevented from authorising this leave unless there are exceptional circumstances (one off events which cannot be repeated).

To request a leave of absence during term time please ask for a request form at the school reception. When completing the form please include as much information as possible.

Requests will be dealt with on a case-by-case basis by the School Attendance Officer and the Headteacher.
